There's an old saying I've come to embrace: "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one." This philosophy has guided my perpetual curiosity and validated my deep dive into every passion I pursue.

My foundation lies in science—I hold a doctorate in Bacterial Communication—but it's the broader concept of communication itself that captivates me. This fascination extends beyond microorganisms to encompass the various ways we express ourselves and connect with the world.

My hands stay busy with traditional crafts like Sashiko and Shibori, and my sewing machine has produced countless treasures for my beloved nephews. It was actually these little ones who inspired my venture into organic gardening in 2019. What began as a simple desire to grow strawberries for them has blossomed into a chemical-free terrace garden that now yields everything from heirloom tomatoes to fresh herbs, from crisp lettuce to sweet peas. This garden nourishes not just our bodies, but also my soul.

My journey with mental health has been transformative. Recent years have given me the vocabulary to articulate and process earlier life experiences that were less than kind. This awareness extends to physical well-being too—particularly my ongoing exploration of nutrition, gut microbiome, and circadian rhythms. My background in biological sciences helps me navigate the complex intersection of physical and mental health, especially as I work through a weight plateau that's persisted for several years.

At this point in my life, I'm embracing authenticity and purposefully shedding what no longer serves me. I'm a scientist who crafts, a gardener who researches, a health enthusiast who bakes—I am the sum of these seemingly disparate parts. Through my writing, I hope to connect with others who understand that we're not meant to fit into a single box, but rather to expand into all the spaces that call to us.

My writing will always reflect this beautiful complexity. One day, I might share insights about soil composition; the next, you might find a detailed tutorial on Shibori techniques. Because that's who I am—endlessly curious, perpetually learning, and always evolving.
