Shaken is a short film about issues immigration and empire highlighted through by an earthquake that ripped through New Zealand. Framed through a lens of colonization with a Brexit-era audience in mind, contemporary artist Cat Auburn uses spoken word and neon flourishes to raise a series of important questions.
Cat Auburn is a New Zealand contemporary artist and filmmaker based in the North East of the United Kingdom. Her art practice encompasses sculpture and moving image with a focus on how culture is constructed, performed and exported.
