Are you tired of swiping through the same faces over and over again on Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge? Maybe you want some more variety in your life, but it seems like these are the only dating apps to try in 2025. While Tinder remains the most popular, there are other apps to check out if you’re looking for love. Here are four dating apps you’ve probably never heard of!
1. Hily
Do you want to find someone who’s authentic? If so, then Hily might be the right dating app for you! The app encourages its users to be authentically themselves. It uses AI to create matches based on your background, interests, and dating app activity. So the more “you” you are, the more likely you are to find someone who you’re compatible with! And in case you’re wondering, Hily is an acronym that stands for “Hi, I Like You.”
2. Duet
Are you looking to find someone who you’re extremely compatible with? The dating app Duet has the goal of matching you with people you resonate with. The app offers multiple layers to randomly pair you with other users. It uses factors like location, zodiac compatibility, interests, traits, opinions, and habits to help you find someone who you’re compatible with!
3. Hatched
Do you want a love that’s based on more than just looks? If you’re looking for a dating app that’s similar to the reality show Love is Blind, Hatched just may be the one! The app has you answer questions to match you with other users. Your profile photo stays hidden behind an egg. As you and another user match by answering questions the same way, a piece of the egg “hatches,” revealing portions of your photo until it’s revealed entirely.
4. Iris Dating
Are you looking to find someone who’s 100% your type when it comes to appearance? The app, Iris Dating, has been around for a while. The app uses AI to match you with users who you’ll find attractive. It has you go through a series of AI generated men or women and swipe on who you find attractive. It also asks you to upload photos of people who you find attractive, whether you choose celebrities or people you know. Then, it provides you with potential matches who may be your type.
Iris Dating is the only app on this list that I’ve personally tested. I have to say that it got my type down to a science — I just wish there had been more local users!
These are just four dating apps to try in 2025! Who knows? You might meet the love of your life on one of them!
Tell me in the comments below. Which dating apps have you had the most success with? Which won’t you be trying again in the future?
