The Forced Into Silence team has been working really hard to make this documentary happen.

We’ve traveled to New York City where we’ve been able to give two consecutive talks about violence towards men, and educate students that domestic and sexual violence is never okay regardless of gender.
We’ve been received positively by La Guardia Community College, and have helped a few male students realize that victimization knows no gender. These men approached me after each talk, spoke to me about their situations and have asked me where they can get help. Although there are very little organizations that cater to men specifically, I still gave them the information I had and was thanked for not only being there, but for being able to give information on where they can seek counseling.
Secondly, we – my producer Chris Mendez and I– parked our camera on Fourteenth Street Union Square and asked a few people if they were willing to answer some questions about social awareness and gender equality. Their answers may surprise you, but you’ll have to wait until the film is completed so you can see them!
It is very important that you donate towards the making of this film, so that many other victims, that have no knowledge of where to turn, can get the help they deserve. As well as knowing they are not alone.
