This is the next essay in the yoga teaching training we are to write about. The EDGE can be defined as the breakthrough one may be looking for or it could be simply as self-transformation. As I look at this question, I’m in the thick of the EDGE. Now it’s time to break through and do what needs to be done. It’s been my soul calling, more like screaming to trust in the process. I will from here on out refer to the “voice” as God. After saving my life at the age of 24 with a potential suicide attempt, I made a contract with God. Then on December 25, 2014, twenty years later, I gave myself to God and said I’m yours. Please use me for the highest good in the way I’ve been created. God simply answered write. When the pen hit the paper we wrote book, radio show and blog.
Later that morning during yoga class at the end of the flow, laying in savasana God said “You now have the name of you book, radio show and blog, call it Humble Warrior and do this to heal, grow and share your light with the world.” That was one and a half years ago. The EDGE for me is sharing my relationship with God to the world. It is time.
This yoga teaching training program has helped me connect with all different types of people. I’ve been fortunate to share some intimate moments with my counterparts. This is the beginning process in the preparation to start spreading God’s word. Using my story as an example how one can bounce back after being knocked down, more than once. It has been making my relationship with God a priority in my life that has helped me through many storms.
When I was confused and lost on how to heal myself from the end of my 17 year marriage, I remember running and stopping. I couldn’t run. I ran for years, this was my time for prayer and meditation. I never ran with music, phone, etc. Always concentrating on my breath and connecting with God. As I bent over with my hands on my knees I said “God I wish this upon no man, that’s how much I was hurting. What should I do?” God said Yoga.
Using my story as an example how one can bounce back after being knocked down, more than once. It has been making my relationship with God a priority in my life that has helped me through many storms.

The practice of yoga has been very instrumental in getting me to this point. When I practice yoga I feel connected to all. At Center for Yoga, there is music playing, most of the time I don’t even know it’s playing. When I flow, I feel more connected to God than I ever been. Yes, this is where we do part of our training – our work one hour a day, everyday.
As I write the EDGE for me is quite simply to start spreading as much Love as I can starting with myself. What I mean by that is accept 100% responsibility for my life. The past was the past. I’m grateful for all of it and all the people that are or were involved in the makeup of ME.
Yes! I Love ME!
What a fun ride this is going to be.
