I routinely conducted professional development and training sessions when I was a school administrator. When I did, I often incorporated relevant quotes to emphasize specific concepts and to stimulate deep thinking.
Because I hold a doctorate in educational leadership, this is one of the areas that I highlighted in my work.
I would like to share some quotes that accentuate specific leadership themes. Doing so may speak to the hearts of some readers and authentically help others.
“Vision does not ignite growth, passion does. Passion fuels vision and vision is the focus of the power of passion. Leaders who are passionate about their call create vision.” -Ken Hemhill
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“The true measure of your character is what you would do if you were sure no one would ever find out.” -John C. Maxwell
“Heart, hope, and faith rooted in soul and spirit, are necessary for today’s managers to become tomorrow’s leaders, for today’s sterile bureaucracies to become tomorrow’s communities spiritual center. Leading with soul requires giving gifts from the heart that breathe spirit and passion into your life and organization.” -Lee G. Bolman and Terrence E. Deal, Leading With Soul, 1995
My hope is that the messages embedded in these leadership quotes will guide your path as you lead so that the followers who follow you will become enlightened.
I feel honored for the opportunity to share these words with you. Thank you for reading this short message.
