The editorial team at The Good Men Project asked our Premium Member community what they want to read here on The Good Men Project. Jed Diamond, Ph.D. is a member of our community and has been a contributor since GMP’s day one! Here’s what Jed had to say when we asked:
I’d like to read more about what it means to be a man (and a woman) living in a world that is overcrowded and out of balance. A new study indicates that Washington DC has more psychopaths than any other place in the country. No, its not what you think, or not just what you think. Yes, the people who are drawn to government work seem to have a higher level of aggression, rage, and disconnection from care, nurture, and empathy than the average American. But another significant problem is crowding. Living in increasingly densely populated areas seems to add to our anger and decrease our empathy. I think of rats living in crowded conditions who get aggressive towards others and even bite off their own tails. There seems to be some parallels with humans. I’ll enjoy hearing what others would like to read (and write). Here’s the research on Washington DC.
What do you think? Jed and the rest of the community want to read your perspective. When you’re ready to submit, click one of the colorful boxes, below.
