This story was inspired by my teenage daughter and her friend. It is dedicated to the hope of a lifelong friendship and to them.
. . .
Introduction
Opposite souls are sometimes drawn together as friends. One may be the yin while the other is the yang that binds them together. The hotness of fire and coldness of ice best describes them. So does the black is to white and the up is to down.
Sometimes friends choose a different path and get lost navigating life changes. But time causes true friends to find their way home. This is where friendship resides.
This story celebrates reclaimed friendship
This Is What Matters
It’s pure and it’s simple. Friendship is unconditional. It’s genuine and it’s real. Other things don’t matter or get in the way.
Having a friend is like holding a mirror to your spirit and soul. You know your friendship is dear when you see the reflection of acceptance, patience, respect, kindness, and forgiveness.
A true friend reciprocates encouragement, laugher, and tears. Friendship gives and friendship receives.
The best way to describe it is love.
There Is No Separation
Being separated by distance cannot shatter a friendship into pieces or cause it to evaporate into the blowing wind. The reason this can’t happen is that the connection shared by their heart is too strong.
Even while they are away and cannot see each other, good friends remained linked together like a strong, unbroken chain.
Friendships are powerful relationships.
The Conclusion: A Friend Is A Forever Member of the Family
The bond of two kindred spirits is unshakeable.
A friend is a sibling. A friend is a member of the family. And family is forever.
