Waking up well, in a good mood, looking forward to your day…. there’s no better feeling! Here are seven ways to do just that.
Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day, even on weekends. This will help to regulate your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle.
Create a relaxing bedtime routine. This could include taking a warm bath, reading a book, drinking a cup of herbal tea or listening to calming music. Try to avoid screens.
Make sure your bedroom is dark, quiet, and cool. These conditions are ideal for sleep. Shades or sleep masks can help block light. If you aren’t in a place that is quiet, try a white or brown noise machine.
Avoid caffeine and alcohol before bed. These substances can interfere with sleep–and you may not wake up feeling your best.
Get some exercise, but not too close to bedtime. Exercise can help you sleep better, but it’s important to avoid exercising too close to bedtime, as it can make it harder to fall asleep. Try staying as active as possible throughout the day.
Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is important for overall health, and it can also help you feel more alert in the morning.
Get some sunlight and a healthy breakfast in the morning. Sunlight will help to reset your body’s internal clock. Sunlight can also bring joy! Also make sure to eat a healthy breakfast when you get after. A nutritious breakfast will give you the energy you need to start your day.
Wake up well and enjoy life!
