Last week I wrote about Spirituality in sports and this week wanted to write about how spirituality can play a role in business. If you read last week’s blog it was about how head coach P.J. Fleck used an obstacle in his life and turned that into a mantra Row The Boat with his football players. Fleck is using his personal story to connect with his players, the administration and the students.
In the business world we can do this for ourselves by sharing our personal story. No matter what the profession, people are looking for connection. Let’s take a doctor and his/her patient for example. If a doctor would take 1-2 minutes sharing his/her story “WHY” he or she became a doctor that would establish more of a trust and also potentially having the patient open up about themselves. By this little interaction, the patient is already starting the healing process taking the attention away from the ailment, sickness or illness (aka negativity).
With the example above I’m playing with the fact that the doctor’s “WHY” would have heart around it. I became a doctor because I felt a need to help people or when I was younger when I would go the doctor he always made me feel it would always be ok and I wanted to have a career like that, helping people feel everything will be ok.
I’ll use my most recent venture in the Health/Wellness space with a network marketing company. When I first looked into this I had to block out all the negativity that surrounded network marketing. Chris it’s a pyramid scheme, only very few people make money doing it, all the products don’t work.
Three things in a business that are important to me is People, Product and Service. When I explored joining Life Vantage, all three were in place and their WHY is a big one.

Three things in a business that are important to me is People, Product and Service. When I explored joining Life Vantage, all three were in place and their WHY is a big one. First, they have a game-changer product in this industry. The people that I’m working with all share their “WHY” in how they got involved. The service in this instance incorporates it all. A heart-centered business – Sharing Story.
A company like Live Vantage is changing the network marketing industry. It’s evolving to network connecting. The product sells itself, however everyone that is involved with this product doesn’t sell it, we share the story, we share the information and in the end consumer has all the power in making the best decision for him or herself.
What makes this spiritually centered for me is that it gives me the opportunity to share my story with everyone I talk to and how I got involved by sharing my “WHY”. It’s simple and goes like this all the time.
It makes me laugh why so many people are against network marketing, when it’s the biggest multi-billion dollar industry in the world.

My heart is in my book, podcast and weekly blog. At current time this isn’t bringing any income into my household and I needed to find the right opportunity that could help support myself with my mission, my three daughters and for me to continue my spiritual fitness practice. By walking the walk I put out there the right opportunity would present itself. It did and I was introduced by it from a colleague from a Wellness Center. He eloquently communicated the company’s “WHY” and his personal “WHY. From there the decision was easy for me, almost effortless.
It makes me laugh why so many people are against network marketing, when it’s the biggest multi-billion dollar industry in the world. From a spiritual perspective we create the world we want and having a connection is a big part of it. Doing it right is by sharing your story and finding the right company that shares their story. Bring that together and you have a recipe for spiritual growth, personal growth and financial freedom.
To sum it up we all can have the life we want. Be proud of you are, share your story and make a difference in the world.
