If you ever paid attention to it, you will realize that as you get closer to your destination, the worries, problems, and tasks come back up. You think about where you have to go next and what the plan for the rest of the day is.
But while we are on the train there is nothing left. We are already moving towards our next point in our plan, and there is nothing we can do in the meantime. So we relax as we travel away from our problems.
This is the exact same thing that Meditation tries to achieve. Leaving all of your problems behind for just a little while and thinking about your Life, what truly matters and what really grabs your interest.
People will recognize this feeling from traveling, being in a State of Flow, and from sports that come so naturally, you don’t have to think about it anymore. We reach a state of flow as soon as things become automatic and no conscious effort is needed to complete the task.
This causes our thoughts to wonder and we forget the world around us. Maybe you have experienced this while driving the same route to work every day, and you just realized you have no idea whether or not you stopped at the last stop sign. Or you were out running and do not remember the last 2 miles you ran.
During the Ride on the Train, we achieve this State of Flow almost instantly. We do not need any conscious effort to ride the train. Therefore it eliminates the prerequisite and allows us to dive right in.
If you want this more often in your Life, I would highly recommend meditating. Doing it daily will eventually allow you to cease all thoughts and go into the State of Flow
