Obstruction by the Republicans hasn’t dissipated despite them being in control of the White House, the House and the Senate. Though their brand of chaos is different from the one displayed during the Obama Administration, no less absurd are they in their work, and Mrs. Kellyanne Conway, a counselor to the president with serious credibility issues and an apparent disdain for facts, leads the pack of conservative oddities.
Mrs. Conway ran the successful campaign that got Mr. Donald J. Trump elected to the Office of the President. Before that, she was in charge of the apparatus aiming to elect Texas Senator Mr. Ted Cruz to the same. She is a fixture on cable news, and that in itself is an obstruction, a seemingly insurmountable blockade to truth, facts and normal spin-free communication. Indeed, the Republicans’ brand of chaos and their mode of obstruction is now a lusterless effort to mislead viewers. One that so blatantly insults the intelligence of the electorate – and the cable networks for news are in on the scam, implied Mr. Charles Blow, a columnist for the New York Times, when speaking in Philadelphia last month.
Mr. Blow is only one among many who believe Mrs. Conway should be banned from appearing on television. It’s a privilege to communicate with such a large audience of Americans and Mrs. Conway doesn’t appear to take the job seriously, as proven by her recent promotion of Mrs. Ivanka Trump’s products while standing inside the White House and on Fox News.
Mrs. Conway’s actions – meant to pushback against a perceived slight from Nordstrom, who opted to no longer carry Mrs. Trump’s brand due to poor sales – violated federal ethics rules and exacerbated the perception of the Trump administration as shifty and corrupt.
So egregious was Mrs. Conway’s action that U.S. Rep Mr. Jason Chaffetz, a Republican who seemed obsessed with Mrs. Hillary Clinton’s emails, called it “clearly over the line.” And this episode comes just days after Mrs. Conway on cable news spoke of a terrorist attack that never occurred; it was a scene that drew almost instant mockery.
The White House barely addressed the Fox News incident, saying only that Mrs. Conway has been “counseled.” Odd it is that Senator Elizabeth Warren, when she appeared to break rule 19 while reading a letter about Mr. Jeff Sessions written by the late wife of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was silenced until Mr. Sessions was confirmed, yet Mrs. Conway broke a rule, and triggered mass communications to the Office Government Ethics, and she came out of her controversy unscathed.
Mrs. Conway is the one who should be silenced; she’s duplicitous, distracting and offers no civic value to viewers. Her presence on cable news degrades the Fourth Estate, and she relishes in spin, so much so that it’s a wonder that neither she nor the viewers are dizzy.
News networks should have more respect for their viewers than to offer up a slimy mouthpiece who has to be fact-checked ad nasueum. For the good of the country, silence Mrs. Conway, and do it now!

I agree 100%. But she’s not the only one. Now it turns out that there is proof that gen Flynn spoke to Russia about sanctions before the election. My guess is he,wanted continued support to get trump elected. But the worst for last. It is Feb 13, 2017 and per Steven Miller’s words on meet the press, ” the president power is absolute and will not be questioned” the brown shirts are getting close circa 1939. I am not exaggerating even though I know it sounds crazy but unless people become alarmed who knows what will happen.
“Mrs. Kellyanne Conway should be silenced; she’s duplicitous, distracting and offers no civic value to viewers.” ++++++++++++++ I’m not going to argue the point that “she’s duplicitous, distracting and offers no civic value to viewers.” But, I say that the same thing is true, and indeed even more true, for that phony “Reverend” Al Sharpton. Have you ever written an article about silencing HIM? Of course not. Why? Because he’s on your side. The great thing about America – which obviously you didn’t learn in school – is that you don’t get to silence those you disagree with, even if… Read more »
No one should be silenced, no matter what your “feels” are. That’s the difference between a democratic country and a fascist one.
Even you, talking like a damned fool, shouldn’t be silenced.
Even the KKK, which was defended by the ACLU so they could march in Skolki, Illinois, shouldn’t be silenced.
I am a lefty, and this is the hypocrisy of the left.
