When is the right time to leave therapy? When we make the choice to do right by ourselves and seek help, sometimes it’s difficult to understand how long we should stick to it. More often than not, clients leave therapy too early for different reasons. In this video, Megan Peterson, counselor and CEO of 2nd Chance Counseling, and I are focusing on the various factors that play into someone ending therapy even when it’s not the right time. Whether it’s a family member who doesn’t want the client to change or the client themselves, change is difficult and the fear of change can be overwhelming and scary. Later in the video, we focus on specific techniques that can help a client to stay on the right path and be even more successful.
Here are suggestions for a healthy approach when it comes to seeking help and overcoming lifetime cycles. We’re also offering some insight into how the therapist is feeling and how much we care about the client and how we want the best for them and their life success.
