Ah, Silvio Berlusconi. Our favorite sex-crazed, gay-bashing Italian prime minister. Gone are the days of mass orgies and offering parliament seats to prostitutes. Berlusconi was recently targeted by a series of underage prostitution probes for alleged sexual activity with minors.
The prime minister has consistently denied these claims but the accusations have clearly worn on his nerves. Yesterday, he was reported for snapping on air at host Gad Lerner, calling his show a “television whorehouse.”
I’ve been watching a disgusting show, conducted in a despicable, vile, and repugnant way. The reality that has been represented here is the opposite of the truth and I feel insulted … I know what I’m saying, you don’t.
Berlusconi went on to encourage a political ally in the audience to leave “this incredible TV brothel.”
This isn’t the first time Berlusconi has faced legal action—this time last year, he was embroiled in corruption charges—but he clearly won’t go down without a fight. As of this writing, he has yet to obey the summons by Milan prosecutors who have placed him under investigation for using his office to cover up the alleged sex scandal.
