Lord of the Rings Meets Les Misérables When Gollum Sings “I Dreamed A Dream” (Video)

The nerdy video you never knew you wanted, complete with “dreamses” and “precious”.

This video by YouTube user ljameswalters was uploaded on February 18th, 2013 and it already has over a million views on the popular video hosting site. The lyrics were altered to fit the storyline of Gollum to include Hobbit references and classic Gollum coughing.  The creator of the video captures the nuances of his voice perfectly, to boot.

Basically, this is kind of the coolest thing ever.

Someone please give this man an Oscar. Or something.

One of the commenters, Indra Rodies, hilariously responded:

hello i am here to offer my hand in marriage to you thank you goodbye

What culture mash-ups would you like to see? One of my current favorites is Darth Vader’s “Hammertime”.

If you liked this one, see also the impressions this guy does of Ian McKellen (Gandalf) quoting various sitcom theme songs.

For example, picture Gandalf reading the theme song for “Charles in Charge”:
