In 2014, I was assaulted and raped. I was hating the car ride of life.
I’ve since been on this road called Recovery. It’s a curvy road filled with speed bumps and potholes. A journey of traversing PTSD, flashbacks, trust, self-love, and car sickness.
A car ride with no map or destination in mind. A car ride with the constant questioning of how I’m supposed to find a passenger to love when I couldn’t even come to love myself.
In 2017, I not only love the driver, but also found a passenger to love. I’m loving the car ride now.
