‘Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’ is heading to Blu-Ray
There are a good amount of horror movies that come out each year. Honestly only a few of them end up being good. When I saw trailers for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark I thought the film looked okay. Now it is coming out on Blu-Ray. I was able to get a review copy and this is my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark here:
It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley, where for generations the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time. For a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home, the stories become all too real in this spine-tingling film.
I thought this movie had a clever concept, but it just wasn’t that scary to me. The special effects were alright yet the story just wasn’t that interesting. I will admit the ending was a bit of a surprise. Some people might like this film, but it certainly won’t be for everyone.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark arrives on 4K Ultra HD combo pack, Blu-Ray combo pack and DVD tomorrow. You can follow this movie on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
