American Gods season 3 is out now on Blu-Ray
When I first started watching American Gods, I wasn’t sure what was going on. Yet as the season progressed the show certainly got better. In season 2 we saw a war between gods looming in the horizon. Now season 3 is coming out on Blu-Ray. I was able to get a review copy of this season and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for American Gods season 3 here:
Dangerous secrets intensify the inevitable war building between the Old Gods of mythology and the New Gods of technology. When Shadow Moon discovers that his boss, Mr. Wednesday, is not only one of the Old Gods but is also his father, Shadow attempts to break away and find his own path.
Guided on this spiritual journey by the gods of his black ancestors, the Orishas, Shadow puts down roots in the idyllic, snowy town of Lakeside, Wisconsin — but this small town holds dark and bloody secrets that force him to accept his destiny. Rather than facing a choice between divinity or humanity, Shadow must now decide just what kind of god he wants to be.
I really enjoyed season 3 of this show. We see Shadow move to a small town where he hopes to get away from all the magic and craziness of the past few seasons. In short time though Shadow comes to realize this town has some dark secrets. Meanwhile Wednesday continues to look for allies for the looming war with the new gods. After Wednesday is forced to do something though his mood on the whole thing changes. As this season comes to a close a surprise death occurs and Shadow makes a tough choice.
