The Ocean Spanning adventure Moana can be yours to own soon
Each time I saw Moana I really enjoyed it. It takes viewers on a journey across a vast ocean. I won’t say I liked it as much as when I first saw it, but it is still a great movie. When I was offered a review copy, I jumped at the chance to see it again. Here are my thoughts on this film after watching it a third time.
You can read the plot for Moana here:
An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (Auliʻi Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui ( Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, she fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.
It was great to get to watch Moana on Blu-Ray. The special features on here are amazing! The one that really blew me away was ‘Voice of the Islands’. It gives an extensive look at the research put into this film, its characters and all the work done to make sure it was to in a powerful, genuine way. I also liked ‘Island Fashion’ which shows all the work done to make sure the costumes all the characters wore made sense and fit the culture. There is also a cool new Maui mini-movie called ‘Gone Fishing’ which was quite funny. There are also many deleted scenes and a deleted song called ‘Warrior Face’.
