The musical adventure ‘Yesterday’ is heading to Blu-Ray
I am a big fan of The Beatles music. Across the Universe did a great job telling a story surrounded by some amazing songs. When I saw Yesterday in theaters I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well now it is coming to Blu-Ray. I was able to get a review copy and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Yesterday here:
Jack Malik was just another struggling songwriter…but that was yesterday. After a mysterious blackout, Jack discovers he is the only person on earth who remembers The Beatles! As he rockets to fame by passing off the Fab Four’s songs as his own, Jack risks losing Ellie – the one person who has loved him and believed in him from the start.
It was a lot of fun watching Yesterday again. The songs are all performed beautifully, and Himesh does an amazing job singing them all. Although it is a bit obvious how this tale will end, it is still fun to watch it unfold before your eyes. ‘Playing for Real’ went into the process of Himesh getting this role, and the work put in to make it something special. ‘Soulmates’ went into how Lily and Himesh found a natural chemistry to help bring this love story to life. There is an alternate opening, alternate ending, and some great deleted scenes. You can also have some good laughs watching the gag reel. If you are a fan of The Beatles then you might want to check this film out.
Yesterday arrives on Blu-Ray and DVD tomorrow. You can follow this movie on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
