I’m a Boy
This comment by Dan on the post A Profile in Family Courage: Ryland Whittington’s Story
The author didn’t assume you might not want to see this as a Christian, he just mentions you might not want to watch if you were intolerant, which you’re obviously not. I would point out though that gender is unrelated to sexual attraction and trans people may be straight, gay or bi when in their preferred gender. You should also use the pronouns of the gender the person is transitioning to – he in this case, not she. Becoming aware that one feels as though is any gender (whether the one you were assigned at birth like most people or a different gender) occurs at around the same time in almost all people – early childhood. Around the same age you felt like a boy or a girl (your name is androgynous so I can’t tell) these children do too.

Food for Thought:
Imagine a world where more/most people followed the example of Ryland’s parents and treated their kids with love, acceptance, tolerance and tenderness. Just imagine!

Gender and sexual orientation are who someone is and not what someone chooses. Parents who understand that, like the parents pf Ryland Whittington, provide the love, support, guidance and resources for their child to thrive and grow up to be who they are and meant to. And by extension make our world a better place and humanity a higher existence.
