Every day, choices bombard us: what to eat, where to live, what activity to do, should I start a business, quit my job, cut my hair? Weighing in on the process of choosing helps us develop some wisdom for the next time we face a crossroad.
The path in the woods diverged, and it was there that made all the difference. What was there? “The path less traveled”, says the writer, Robert Frost, was the one which “made all the difference.”
Often the concepts of great ideas leads us to stumble and fall, learning all the while what works and what does not hinder growth.
Even ideas, which spark a great directional thought, also impedes our growth if we are not aware of any sideways constructs. Take the follow statement:
“I don’t try to walk on broken glass to know if I won’t like it.” A great response to someone’s intense push upon you to do something you don’t want. At times, we have to know the impact of a choice in direction, both with our thoughts and with future growth. Either one can hinder the ability to create a energy filled future, or they can boost up the moral so we head in a focused direction, potentially without debris littered across the path.
Creating a world where you make choices based on your needs, wants, and dreams means limiting the exposure of those who are overbearing and demanding. People might mean well, however, if they pressure you in a manipulative or mean way, know they may not have your best interest in mind.
As I share this little article with you, I hope you are moving forward in your daily interactions enough to connect and share ideas. I also hope you have a peaceful time, embracing you and your choices. Every day matters, so make today fantastic.
