The two biggest concerns for me right now as a 40-something father of three (the oldest starts HS in the fall) are college costs and health care costs.
The costs of those two fundamental things are growing so rapidly and it is not sustainable.
Figuring out how to reduce violence across the board would probably be the third thing that concerns me.
I don’t think the country is ready for it, but I also have no issue with the decriminalization of all recreational drugs. Just make them like alcohol, make it 21 and up, and tax the heck out of it. Funnel a bunch of the new tax revenue to rehab programs and that will improve a lot of things.
Just look at the impact that making alcohol legal again changed things.
