Gun control is the hot-button issue once again in America, and even former gun control opponents have started to say that enough is enough. Guitarist Caleb Keeter played at the festival with the Josh Abbott Band only hours before Stephen Craig Paddock killed 59 people and injured hundreds during Jason Aldean’s performance. A lifelong supporter of gun rights, Keeter now says that he was wrong and that America needs gun control. “My biggest regret is that I stubbornly didn’t realize it until my brothers on the road and myself were threatened by it,” Keeter said in a statement Monday. Social is giving Keeter 71 percent positives for changing his views. He’s not the only country performer to speak out. Rosanne Cash, daughter of Johnny Cash, has long been an advocate for gun restrictions. She penned an op-ed in The New York Times on Tuesday slamming the NRA. “There is no other way to say this: The N.R.A. funds domestic terrorism,” Cash wrote. –Hugo Guzman
