By chance, while browsing the internet, I came across a song by Selena Gomez:
“I’m not scared to love you, I’m scared to lose you.”
For the past two days, your name has been echoing in my mind, weaving through my thoughts every time I listen to that song.
Today is your day off, and I know you’re still at home maybe sitting by the window, gazing at the main street of the city you’ve never liked.
I can see you clearly in my imagination, lost in your thoughts, wondering where I am and how I’m spending my day without you.
You’re asking yourself why I don’t come to you, why I don’t pull you out of the emptiness that engulfs you in my absence.
I know that, in silence, you speak to me deep within your soul, even without saying a word.
Stop, Adam. Stop drowning in this flood of thoughts. Open your heart to life and follow the path that leads you to me, just as you always have.
Don’t believe the doubts my fears send your way — the ones that make you think I don’t want love or you.
I want you, Adam, just as I always have.
I miss you more than I can express, but I am trapped by my past, unable to admit how much I long to spend the rest of my days with you, far from everything that haunts me.
Today, the rain poured relentlessly, so I stayed in my room, listening to jazz for hours, staring at the ceiling in silence while the echo of your breath resonated in my memory and the feeling of your touch never left my soul…
No matter how far we drift, no matter where life takes us, you will always be the part of me that never fades — the name that whispers through my mind every time I close my eyes.
And in the end, maybe love doesn’t always need to be confessed. It’s enough to feel it, to know deep inside that it’s there… alive, beating, waiting for the right moment to bring us together once again.
