A man serving a life sentence can forgive himself. Can you?

On my journey and my growth as a human being, I have becoming aware of how Mother Earth and the universe, karma and love work.
I had to learn to forgive myself and my actions. I had to consciously and sub-consciously make room in my heart, soul, and spirit to forgive myself and to forgive others. The first and most important step in forgiving myself was to accept responsibility for my bad actions as well as for my good ones.
One must forgive oneself for one’s actions particularly the bad actions, or you could become callous, unfeeling, uncaring and repeat bad actions.

I put myself in prison. However, being in prison nearly four decades is not something any civilized country would do. What debt am I paying now?
