Love does not ask you to want what it wants you to want. Love is the desire to witness someone grow. Love is what the sun and the rain give to flowers. Love is travelling thousands of miles just to witness someone being who they are. Love is a home with no door and love is always, always, a two way street.
Love does not seek anything beyond the expression of itself. Love is confusing to the fearful and the selfish. “Why are you giving this to me?” such people will ask of Love. Love will reply: “Because I want you to have it.” Again, they will ask “But what do you want from me?” Again, love will say: “I want you to have it. I want to give it. Now it is given. I am happy.”
Love is an awareness that soaks through your whole body. Imagine sunbeams revealing themselves to be solid by shining through clouds of dust. Love does that, shining though your eyes, through the eyes you gaze upon. Because of this, Love knows. Love watches, carefully, for an invitation to enter. When it is welcomed, both parties find that it was already there. In a universe where there is no time, Light already is every place it will ever be.
“And the Light shineth forth through the darkness, and the darkness comprehendeth it not…”
Love knows that we have limits. The wall erected does not dim it. The cold shoulder does not put it out. Love knows that even its own house cannot be all windows, and flies lovingly from anything that would break that house.
Love is not a bond, a promise, a ring, a wedding or a contract. Love is a sunrise that happens when we open the windows of our minds. Stretching forth a hand to pluck the sun from the horizon can only blind us to it. It still shines. The green breathing beings of the world still thrive on it. Yet, still reaching, we wonder why it hides from us. You never need to grasp it. Love is already there.
Behold that little spark in you. Make a bundle of your desires and demands. Hold it over that little spark until it bursts into embers. Let that be the torch that guides you out of yourself. Come join the Fellowship of the Sun.
We love you.
