A flat salary for all humans has been proposed by Musk, among others who have speculated on the fairest way to distribute the wealth that all of us create together.
In the USA, we could repurpose Social Security payments to that purpose, as well as those for Medicare and Medicaid. We would need a different pile of money for these purposes, but that money is there in the profits all of us create together through our labor and our cognitive inputs.
So, there is an amount in today’s lucre that provides a reasonable relationship between the total amount of wealth we all generate and the costs of needs attendant upon raising an individual from conception to grave. Google, ‘Currency types of Earth’. Recall, we do live by mathematical definitions over time and location by person.
Most humans are workers and will require the input needed to keep them alive and kicking. The peer-reviewed medical literature details the objects and services needed to keep each of us alive and you guessed it, kicking: contributing to the making of profit by and for us all over an entire human lifetime.
What is a human worker? Accept for a moment that many cultures define each type of person present in their society differently, and these numbers can be quite low: female, male; or larger, e.g., Hindu castes; Chinese castes; Euro-US Cultural Complex castes; LGBTQ+ castes, and all Indigenous culture castes.
In all of Earth systems now, though, there is a caste of elite males at the top. There aren’t that many of them on Earth at this time. They know each other. They do fight but they also agree. They get done what they want done. They do have to fight their way to those positions, and it is a lot of work and sacrifice. It is worth it to them. People like Musk, Gates, Pichai, Bezos, Apple (a confederation of different people), Nvidia (same story as Apple), and Saudi Arabian Oil (primarily state owned). Who else? Do a Google Generative AI search on World companies by profit margin within a ten, five, and two year time window by location. On planet Earth, amount of income on Earth by location and time do mathematically define our Leaders. Come to your own conclusions as you consider the direction Earth civilizations are going in these times of climate, political, fiscal, religious, and social change; who led us here; who did we each follow? Do employ the political books of your choice to structure your thoughts philosophically and practically.
Now we may ask this question: for Earth right now what is the best source of wealth among all humans living on Earth?
Is it true or false that some humans are worth way more in terms of local and Earth lucre than most other humans?
Is it true all humans contribute to the profits made by all societies on Earth at this time?
If it takes all of us to create the profit that accrues to human activity by year and location, why do we give over 80% of all profit to a few men? Are they really that much more important to the output of all society than the 80% of people it takes to help only 20% create yearly profits?
Yes or no? This question is determing the division of profit across all Earth for all People who are alive at this time; indeed, who have been alive for at least the written period of human history.
Do we want this state of affairs to continue?
If yes, why; if no, why?
We are definitely stuck here.
