By the Culver City High School POPS Club
I love you.
Mom,
You don’t have to be strong.
It’s my turn to support you.
It’s ok to be wrong,
After all, you’re human too
You don’t have to feel bad,
For anything you’ve done
Not for leaving our dad
Or bringing me to the Sun
I want you to know that I know
You did it for us
I wish I could tell my mom that she is a little crazy and delusional. Like for example whenever the house is peaceful and quiet she would come out and yell. Which really annoys me as it disrupts the peace. Also I feel like she plays the I gave birth to you card too much. Like I get it—you’re my mom. We be sitting on the couch and she is right next to the controller like within arm length and she is like hand me the controller and I’m like why you’re closer. She then replies I gave birth to you.
I might never tell you this, but I hope you know, I do love you
Things I want you to know—how important it is to be open minded.
I love you.
You’re wrong
I like some things you wouldn’t like that I like
Your love is conditional
Dear parents, there’s stuff I’ve been wanting to tell you for a really long time. But since I’m not really telling you now the time will still go on. First off, I’m bi. Yep that’s right your preacher’s kid is bisexual. A part of the LGBTQ Gang. But you probably won’t know till I’m in a different state two years from now. Because I’m not ready for your reaction. And I want to be able to defend myself when I do tell you. Another thing, I don’t believe in “God.” This will probably give you a heart attack. But tbh you guys made me this way. You forced it on me so badly that you’ve pushed it away from me. Plus I don’t like how this “God” has turned my parents out to be.
Dear Mom,
I’ve been such a disappointment to you and Dad. I did a lot of things behind your back but I’m pretty sure that you’ll know everything one day. I’ve had a Boyfriend I’ve lied to you right in the face saying I didn’t do it.
I just wish I could tell them how I actually feel without the thought of getting yelled at.
I appreciate everything you do for me even though I don’t always show it/tell you.
There are different types of love
The love for your dog
,your siblings
,significant other
,your friends
but the love for my parents is different
you cared for me
I don’t really tell you
But if I don’t I will live with regret every day
So mom and dad
I love you
and I’m thankful for having you
