Despite being a very active teenager, I’ve been a once-in-a-while gym goer until I moved into my new apartment. There’s a gym in my building, so no more excuses left. I started to hit the gym at least 3 times a week, each for one hour and 300 calories to burn.
Although my only expectation was losing weight, my new workout routine surprised me with more benefits. I noticed these benefits motivating me to enjoy my exercise time and I’m sharing them with you, hoping it will inspire your activities.
…
- The first thing I benefit from is a balanced appetite. I have much fewer cravings for sweet and fatty food. I used to love baking cakes and cookies but now the extra sugar disturbs me.
- Workout regulates my sleep schedule. I’m normally very flexible about my sleep time but it’s way more balanced when I do a workout. The tiredness makes me go to bed earlier and have an earlier wake-up time.
- I have a better mood and it lasts longer. Whenever I’m feeling down, I know that gym can be a solution. No matter how stubborn my mental problem is, it will disappear after 15 minutes of workout. The good news is it last for a day or so.
- My focus and productivity have increased. Workout clears my mind from unnecessary stuff so there is room for anything I want. I have come up with many ideas around exercise time.
- Doing regular workouts boosts my confidence because I feel I’m contributing to my physical health which is very important. to know that the 70 years old me will thank me for today feels amazing. Also, being able to push the limits increases my self-esteem.
- Having a better mind-body connection is one of the great outcomes. a lot of us active people do that without knowing. Personally, I watch over my body, my nutrition, my diet, and my sleep more than before. I focus on how workout can make me healthier as well as fit and I owe it to staying regularly active.
- Doing workouts made me a goal-oriented person. When I monitor my progress, I get to know what to work on the next time I go to the gym. also, to be active regularly, I have to plan my day accordingly. so for example, I don’t have to drain my body with other activities when I come home. I’ve been inspired to live more organized in more ways as it made my life easier and less stressful.
…
I‘m sure that there is more to happen as I continue working out, everyone can benefit in their own ways. No one can tell that all of us follow the same pattern through the workout and that what’s makes it unique.
I’d like to remain physically active for the sake of all the uniqueness there, getting abs definitely comes next for me.
