Your business is an opinion. How can you make it spread?
—
The world has always been filled with opinions. Some opinions win, and others lose.
Aristotle had his lyceum (a type of school). Jesus had his courtyard.
Earlier this year, Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler was released in Germany for the first time since World War II. The initial print run was 4,000 copies. The pre-order list of people who wanted to purchase the book? More than 15,000.
Some opinions win–for a time–then lose, then sell out immediately.
In 2016, our ability to share those opinions has never been more accessible. And people take advantage of it, just like I’m doing here. Facebook tailors our reading to us, funneling our info through an algorithm.
This is wonderful for entertainment, but horrible for most everything else.
Including your business.
Your business is an opinion. As entrepreneurs, our job every day is to spread that opinion to others. We want the right people to buy our idea so we can create more of our opinion.
How can you make your opinion spread?
Although it may seem as if you’re only taking one step at a time, the results will look more like two steps at a time.

Take the stairs.
If your tactic is to write, then write one line at a time. One blog at a time. One post at a time. One email at a time. One thank you letter at a time. This works for any medium.
Although it may seem as if you’re only taking one step at a time, the results will look more like two steps at a time.
The elevator is short lived. Very few people are able to step in, press a button, and arrive at the right floor.
Take the stairs.
