Jamie Reidy breaks down his religious practices.
In case you couldn’t tell from the fact that I laugh at puns about Christ’s resurrection on Good Friday and post naked pictures of women on Easter, I am not the best Catholic in the pew.
A few years ago, I wrote a blog in which I described my churchgoing habits as WEC: Wedding Easter Christmas.
An alert reader wrote in explaining that I’m really a CEO: Christmas, Easter, Occasions. The latter is a nice touch, as it includes weddings, funerals, baptisms and the rare miracle of my accidentally stumbling into a church on Sunday and then being too embarrassed to leave.
What kind of Christian are you?

i am an atheist, but this piece got me thinking do you think there would be demand for a ‘men and religion’ section. where religious men could talk about how their faith influences their definition of manhood?
That’s a good question.
I have no answer, but I think a focal point is this: regarding being a good man, does a believer follow his religion’s tenets, or his own conscience? (when the two do not agree, of course)
Put another way: does he develop a personal set of values, or does he just blindly follow the given values?
Regarding the article, I have no answer because I’m not Christian. But I like this words:
“I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ.”
