This is the video transcript of the below video, This Routine Stops You From Reaching The Finish Line.
Kallen Diggs here in Basalt, Colorado. I’m actually right off of the freeway. So, forgive me for the background noise but I think this is a good time to address this issue and that is…
The Popular Routine
Routine is not always bad but many people have bad routines and that’s the point. Some people are working the same job, day in and day out.
They do not like they’re stuck in the 9-5. The days, weeks, months just fly pass and they start to lose track of time because they’re doing so much of the same repetitively.
Perhaps, you’re not in a situation to make any immediate changes, but you could start making gradual changes by taking small steps in your life and eventually start building a new routine.
A routine that’s going to help you reach the finish line.
Questioning Your Routine
What if you’re in a job that you do not like or maybe even like only half of the time but you’re not fulfilled? Do you want that to be next 5, 10, or 20 years of your life?
Or would you prefer to live a more flexible life or rather a life that’s flexible in your terms?
Maybe, for the initial term, you may have to maybe take a slight pay decrease. Maybe, you have to reduce your expenses or whatevern else may be required.
Don’t you think that’s worth the first step to start reaching your finish line?
Some people get caught up in the work culture and accept a promotion. While it may give them a small amount of ecstasy of making a bit more money, unfortunately, the decisions they make, continues to keep them trapped in that routine.
You may buy a motorcycle or a new car or upgrade your house apartment or whatever.
Although, if you see yourself, due to your current circumstances, being at a job longer, use that extra money from the promotion to be able to save more money.
Invest it. Reduce your expenses. Live below your means. So, you can get out of the monotony; the misery of the job that you’re in and pivot to a path that’s gonna help you reach the finish line.
Many people say they want to reach the finish line but unfortunately their actions are not in congruence. So, that’s something I want you to consider.
It’s my intention for you to reach the finish line and you can start by going to reaching the finish line dot com and until next time I hope you’re reaching your finish line.
