"You can make a good movie from a good script, or a bad movie from a good script. But you can't make a good movie from a bad script." — Francis Ford Coppola
On Wednesday, September 21st, Writers Boot Camp and the Hollywood Black Film Festival will co-sponsor a free mini-camp for screenwriters at the Writers Boot Camp HQ, Santa Monica's Bergamot Station.
Collaboration between writer and director is essential in effectively creating and managing the multiple layers involved in generating not only a script, but crafting a total audience experience. What tools do the director and writer need to best bring their individual visions and storytelling together? How can the filmmaker who writes best work with another writer to tell the story?
Friends of HBFF are invited to attend a FREE Mini-Camp on Wednesday Sept. 21st at 7PM as Writers Boot Camp Founder Jeffrey Gordon helps answer these and other questions while shedding light on commonly held fallacies about writing for film and television.
A Mini-Camp is an informative, educational event. In just this one session, you will be introduced to tools that have empowered an ever-growing list of successful Writers Boot Camp alumni to transition to careers as professional writers.
This all happens at 2525 Michigan Avenue, Bldg. I, Santa Monica, CA 90404. For more information, visit hbff.org.
