Great. Only two more years and I’ll be just another really tiny dot on that pink line. I wonder what parents did back in 2003 without any adult children eating all their food, drinking all their beer, and provoking family arguments.

Lack of attachment and responsibility for physical objects and various expenses puts one into a position to explore all of the options available to the current generation of recent college graduates. living at home with mom and dad does not necessarily equal “loser” these days. Just don’t celebrate the end of your third decade in your childhood bedroom.
If I could go back in time I would plant myself in my parent’s house and stay there for at least three more years after college. I would’ve saved a ton of money, bought a nice place and I might be debt free. Instead I moved to Boston on a journalist’s salary, maxed out credit cards at various bars, used what little money I had saved on a wedding, foolishly bought a condo I couldn’t afford and now I’m harassed by creditors all day.
