Jaime Tomé’s son challenges him in everything, including Scouting.
I am having a difficult time coming up with a caption for this picture which conveys my relationship with my headstrong 13 year-old son. He thrives on defying my authority, and in Scouting it’s a double challenge: when he openly questions me in the Troop it is not only his father but his leader he faces up to. Nonetheless, he is an outstanding Scout who can be entrusted to complete all tasks. My wife says the root of his rebellion is that deep down he realizes how much his personality is like mine, as if he were trying to turn the tide. So perhaps this picture seems to say: “Just you wait, I will be Scoutmaster too someday!”
