I don’t care about mascots, headdresses and team names. Not because these issue do not matter, I just find them secondary to the harm which happens on this planet. They are offensive and harm our culture. It is a slap to the face, but this is the fight I leave to the 5th and 6th fire people. These are divisional battles and only focus on one group. This fight doesn’t bring us closer to clean water, making our food healthy, or healing this planet. This battle creates anger, anxiety, frustration, competition, and greed.
The 7th fire is supposed to represent a great awakening, but it’s also a trap. This awakening has two roads, one leads to the 8th fire, a Global Consciousness for all life and the beauty of creation. The other leads back to the 5th and 6th fire. These are not separate. One is a choice, the other is the fallout from that choice.
The Fifth Prophet says,
“In the time of the Fifth Fire there will come a time of great struggle that will grip the lives of all native people. At the waring of this Fire there will come among the people one who holds a promise of great joy and salvation. If the people accept this promise of a new way and abandon the old teachings, then the struggle of the Fifth Fire will be with the people for many generations. The promise that comes will prove to be a false promise. All those who accept this promise will cause the near destruction of the people.”
The Sixth Prophet says,
“In the time of the Sixth Fire it will be evident that the promise of the Fifth Fire came in a false way. Those deceived by this promise will take their children aways from the teachings of the Elders. Grandsons and granddaughters will turn against the Elders. In this way the Elders will lose their reason for living. They will lose their purpose in life. At this time, a new sickness will come among the people. The balance of many people will be disturbed. The cup of life will almost become the cup of grief.”
The great awakening of the 7th fire is injustice, but if one only focuses on human injustice, then the belief humans are separate from other life will go on and will continue to promote violence against nature. We will believe we are the owners and rulers of nature. We will treat nature as an enemy which must be conquered and controlled. These are the false promises of the 5th fire.
The Seventh Prophet says,
“In the time of the Seventh Fire, New People will emerge. They will retrace their steps to find what was left by the trail. Their steps will take them to the Elders who they will ask to guide them on their journey. But many of the Elders will have fallen asleep. They will awaken to this new time with nothing to offer. Some of the Elders will be silent because no one will ask anything of them. The New People will have to be careful in how they approach the Elders. The task of the New People will not be easy. If the New People will remain strong in their quest the Water Drum of the Midewiwin Lodge will again sound its voice. There will be a rebirth of the Anishinabe Nation and a rekindling of old flames. The Sacred Fire will again be lit.
It is this time that the light skinned race will be given a choice between two roads. If they choose the right road, then the Seventh Fire will light the Eighth and final Fire, an eternal fire of peace, love brotherhood and sisterhood. If the light skinned race makes the wrong choice of the roads, then the destruction which they brought with then in coming to this country will come back at them and cause much suffering and death to all the Earth’s people.”
Right now we are living a combination of the 5th, 6th and 7th fire. We see all the damage “control” has caused. Our water is filthy, our foods poisoned and medicines causing death. This is the warning to the light skin people. The problem is, many of us original people also follow this light skinned way of thinking. Many of us are fooled into believing human made laws will eventually protect us. The light skinned nation is a great nation, with many who wish a better way. But they are fooled into the belief of political power. They do not understand the clan system. They do not understand a leader only leads as long as she or he is needed, and people are left alone.
We never went extinct and still have and carry our teachings which go back thousands of generations.

Many of the light skinned race believe what the media has taught them about our ways. We never went extinct and still have and carry our teachings which go back thousands of generations. Those in power have done a magnificent job of keeping this away from the masses. The light skinned people have no idea they have also been used to promote an agenda.
But if the people just took a moment to look around at the collapse of jobs, the schools, how the banks have forced them into slavery coming out of these schools, they will realize they are the victim of entitlements to others.
The 5th and 6th fire people are fighting for an unsustainable future, demanding better pay for a dying world. Justifying murder to save our families. Knowing these factories are harming but ignoring this for liveable wages. Fighting for racial reconciliation and nothing more. This is the promise and repercussions of the 5th and 6th fire.
We stand here at the 7th fire not knowing what to do. We see the damage and hurt. We fear for our children. We see with the advancement of progress has brought us more prisons, both imagined and real. We demand justice from those we gave our power to, our false leaders. Promise after promise, we have compromised our world. Compromise after compromise we have belittled the values and gifts of this planet.
Understanding this leads us either back to the 5th and 6th fire, or to the 8th fire.

When we walk away from human entitlements, technology, and man made rules, we focus on the cultivation of healing for all, and only then everything else falls into place, especially the racial issue. Justice is equally granted, there is no ‘less than.’ All are responsible for another. This is what must be focused on. This “IS” the prophecy of the 8th fire.
