On this episode of the Starve the Doubts, podcaster Jim Sweeney and Jared Easley discuss Senior Basketball, the Mike on Sports animated character, and the importance of Collaboration in Business.
Jim is the creator of Mike on Sports (http://www.theemike.com/). Jim has created a and animated brand cartoon character that is the ultimate talking head on sports. Jim loves sports. He is 58 years old and still plays basketball 3 times a week! Jim travels to play in senior tournaments around the world.
Jim has been playing basketball all of his life. He started when he was five years old. He played in High School and College. He played briefly in Europe after he graduated from college. He never stopped playing.
He never had any knee or ankle problems. His back is fine. He keeps his weight down. He eats healthy.
Jim says that anyone that has a common passion find a way to learn about opportunities within that realm. He found that anywhere he would go he would connect with people who love basketball and still play.
Jim talks about May Madness which is a worldwide senior basketball tournament in Coral Springs, FL. He also travels to cities around the United States and other countries to play throughout the year.
