Hear a rather interesting story get told in ‘Unicorn Store’
I have watched a few movies on Netflix recently. Some have been good, others were alright and a few ended up being kind of bad. I am a fan of Brie Larson and thought she was amazing in Captain Marvel. So when I heard about Unicorn Store I was hoping I would get to check it out. I was able to get a screener of this film and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Unicorn Store here:
Kit is a lonely twenty-something dreamer who’s reluctant to leave the comforts of childhood and fully embrace adulthood. But when art school sends her packing, Kit is forced to move back home with her parents and take a temp job in a boring office. Just when she’s resolved to finally put her Care Bears aside and grow up, a mysterious salesman enters Kit’s life and offers to give her childlike heart its greatest desire. Larson’s directorial debut, with a script by Samantha McIntyre, is a love letter to everyone’s inner child, and a reminder that no dream is impossible.
Unicorn Store was a rather interesting film. The story starts with reality hitting the main character in the face. They think it is time to grow up and get a boring job. Yet when they receive a mysterious letter it reignites something inside of them. When they walk into this amazing place they find out a dream they have had since they were a kid might finally come true. All they have to do is a few different things to prepare for its arrival. Although this movie had a few slow moments, these were few and far between. Along the way she does do some growing up, and just when all seems lost something magical might happen that will take your breath away.
Unicorn Store is available now on Netflix.
