About James Blakely

James grew up in the Pacific Northwest and continues to call the region his home. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a degree in Environmental Science and is an avid outdoorsman, adventurer, and environmental activist. He has spent the last several years as a community organizer working on environmental and LGBT rights issues.

In addition to his writings on The Good Men Project, James has been published in High Country News and Making Waves. Additionally, he occasionally writes about his outdoor adventurous lifestyle on his blog Being Wolverine..
