This Comment of the Day was by Ed on the post 7 Things Your Kids Don’t Need from You.
Ed says:
“There’s some life lessons that a dad can teach kids of any age in Los Vegas. It all depends on how you approach the trip.
Fact is, in Vegas and in life, there are some people who will drink too much, smoke too much, gamble too much, and spend altogether too much time chasing after ephemeral glitter. Show your kids what is going on when they’re young, both so they won’t be seduced by it later on, and also so they understand why so many people are. There’s a heck of a lot of financial lessons to be taught. The only way to make money with a slot machine? Own one.
Then, once you’ve delivered said life lessons, get yourself a good rental card and head out. Red rock canyon, Zion national park, Bryce Canyon…there is a ton of natural adventure to be found within a day’s drive from Vegas.”
