So today, May the Fourth, is what is called Star Wars Day, a holiday based solely on the pun "May The Fourth Be With You." Many fans celebrate this as a kind of mini-geek holiday and enjoy themselves.
Other fans — including this site's editorial staff — honor May 25th, which is the day in 1977 that Star Wars first hit the silver screen and forever changed not only the movie industry (the previous "blockbuster" Jaws got capsized quickly) but the liives of millions of people around the world, despite the fact that George Lucas is neither the best writer nor director. Who knew?
Regardless of which side of this debate you feel aligned with (or uninterested in, your mileage may vary) we have this as a way of making today great: here's a link to a new product so ridiculously dangerous that it should not be sold, yet all of us will want one, The Two-Headed Sith Series Spyder III Laser (story at Gizmodo).
