The natural energy has been getting cheaper for years, and companies that invested early in sun power are starting to see serious growth, according to USA Today. That could translate into big savings for homeowners, who stand to shave up to 30 percent off their electric bills by incorporating roof-top solar panels. Social has seen the light and is responding with a statistic of its own: 71 percent, representing the positive buzz floating around online about solar power. Ironically enough, solar might be coming of age right as the Trump Administration is giving a helping-hand to natural gas: In July it proposed a rollback of Obama-era anti-fracking laws to allow natural-gas prospecting on federal land. The President himself has tweeted in support of fracking, which he says will make America “energy independent.” But other online voices strongly oppose the mining technique, which critics say damaged the environment. Fracking gets only 30 percent positive sentiments online and seems to be running low on energy compared with solar, which gets discussed far more. –Hugo Guzman
