You’re a submarine.
You didn’t have a say in your design or construction. You can’t attest to the skill of the workers or the materials used. You’re working with what you’ve been given. This is mostly fine, as long as you skim the surface. The deeper you dive, the less control you have over external factors.
Although you were meant for the sea, nothing can prepare you for the crushing external pressure you will face in the ocean’s depths. It’s at this point you’re dependent on your crew to survive. They are the tools you’ve developed in order to navigate tempests. A seasoned captain, full of confidence, who inspires trust. Loyal sailors who understand their jobs and work together. Singularity of purpose and unity of spirit will determine your ability to steer your own destiny.
As long as you remain stable on the inside, no matter how rough the storm, you can find the way and the will to rise.

Positive attitude and a colourful, upbeat metaphor- but do yourself a favour and don’t ever watch ‘Das Boot’… or at least, skip the last 5 minutes…
