Once upon a time, a picture of two dads doing their daughters’ hair almost broke the internet. Now they’re back to share their normal with everyone in a new ad from Nikon.
“We just want people to know that, Hey, we’re normal. And you can’t judge people on their normal. You really can’t.”
Kordale and Kaleb are a pair of dads living in Atlanta. They’ve got two daughters and a son.
A year ago, they took a picture during their morning routine – up at 5:30, make breakfast, do their daughters’ hair, get them dressed, on the bus by 6:30 – and posted it online.
It went viral.
The comments were, predictably, a mix of the best and worst of humanity. Looking back, Kordale says they didn’t make him feel anyway, because, “People don’t know what we go through, they don’t know our children, they don’t know our lifestyle, they don’t know how we live.”
They wanted to show what two parents go through to get their kids ready in the morning.
What we saw was two men who unapologetically stood up and said, “This is our family. We are a family. No one can take that away from us.”
A year later, they are showing us that again.
Thank you to these two dads who, with one snapshot, showed the world what love looks like.

sadly their family can be taken away. It only takes one miserable government worker.
I like their attitude. Haters are going to hate. You can’t let them dictate your life or make you retreat or cower in fear.
