On March 15, 2018, Tony Robbins, well-known self-help teacher, criticized the #MeToo movement during an event called Unleash the Power Within (see this interview for details). On April 8, he released a press statement and apologized. He expressed his admiration for the movement, agreed with its goals, and added that “sometimes, the teacher has to become the student and it is clear I still have much to learn.”
