When the day you’re in seems way too long
When you start to doubt you can be this strong
When not one thing seems to go right
And you have no more energy left for the fight
When you can’t deal with the stress for one more minute
And no one around you seems to get it
Don’t forget the one thing you need
Is the best thing for you, indeed
When the load you carry is too much to bear
Bow your head and say a prayer
Pour out your heart and feelings so clear
To the one above, who holds you so dear
Let Him wrap you in His loving arms
And make you feel safe from harm
Never forget the race you’re in
Give him control; he can help you win
…
This subject may not be a popular one in the world we live in these days, but it is one that’s close to my heart.
I know there are likely many of you who don’t believe in God, or who have your own viewpoint on this, but on the days that are especially stressful, I draw strength from my faith.
I wrote this as a reminder to myself that I am never as alone as I sometimes feel, and I thought it may comfort some of you as well.
Our minds often insist things that aren’t true, especially for those of us who suffer from anxiety or depression, or the multiple other mental health challenges that plague so many.
Rarely are the things we believe about the people in our lives true, but when all else fails, knowing that God cares about me — that he takes a personal interest in each of us — soothes my heart.
Peace and Love, y’all. ❤
