Recently, I read an article which suggested that the quality of your life is determined by the quality of your relationships. While I agree with that statement in general, I felt like something was missing from that equation.
Because while I do believe that the people we love and surround ourselves with are the most important thing, I think most of us also want to have an impact on the world. A lot of us feel compelled to give back, to serve others, and to be of benefit in some way.
So we want to hear from you! Do you think you can you have a happy life with quality relationships, but no “greater purpose”? And what about the opposite? Can you have a life dedicated to the greater good, making the world a better place for many—and still have a happy life without close relationships?
What has been your personal experience with what specifically affects the quality of your life? Have you enjoyed life with only one or the other? Or do you believe that it’s important to have a combination of both?
Share your experience with us! When you’re ready to submit, click the red box, below.

As you become a deeper part of the conversation—The Conversation No One Else is Having (TM)—you will learn all of the ways we support our Writers’ Community—community FB groups, weekly conference calls, classes in writing, editing platform building and How to Create Social Change.
