Were you raised in a particular faith? What is the paradigm of masculinity within that belief system? How did it influence you as you grew?
Do you still embrace that faith? What about that concept of masculinity? How are you the same or different than other men in your belief system?
If you rejected the faith you were raised in, did you embrace another? How does your new faith, or lack of religion, impact you as a man? Your concept of masculinity?
If you have remained in your faith or embraced a new one as an adult, how have you reconciled with any conflict between the teachings of that religion and your own beliefs? Does this conflict bother you?
Do you think men benefit from religion, faith, or spirituality? In what ways?

The Good Men Project is different from most media companies. We are a “participatory media company”—which means we don’t just have content you read and share and comment on but it means we have multiple ways you can actively be a part of the conversation. As you become a deeper part of the conversation (Which really is “The Conversation No One Else is Having), you will learn all of the ways we support our Writer’s Community—community FB groups, weekly conference calls, classes in writing, editing platform building and more.

Raised Methodist in a single-parent household with few male rolemodels, I was drawn to Witchcraft in my early teens back in the 70’s. Whereas much of my personal concept of masculinity was garnered from public media, many of the blanks were/are fulfilled through an amalgam of concepts taken from the Horned Lord – Cern, primarily. When my masculinity is questioned or challenged, my main fallback is to imagine actually wearing the horns on my head, and my heart follows accordingly.
