What is divorce, an ending or a beginning, or little bit of both?
—
Maybe the simple fact is when one relationship is over maybe, just maybe, there is a chance for happiness.
Let’s not forget that the right to divorce does not date from centuries ago. In many secular societies, divorce was established as one of the basic human rights in the 20th Century. Even now, in many places of the world, divorce is forbidden or is even considered a taboo.
To be clear, it is not a right that people have fought and died for, but still it is the founding stone on the path of liberty, the path on which the blood of millions has been spilled in the past. In many countries, freedom is yet to be achieved, and in many societies divorce is a necessity to be recognized.

So, why is divorce listed among other human rights? To end bad marriages, that’s why!
Marriages without love, understanding, and future certainly are not to be prolonged just for tradition or religious believes. Marriages where violence is present should not even be considered as institutions of “sacred matrimony” or be under scrutiny of any anti-divorce philosophy.
Be certain that no one likes divorces, and nobody is getting out of their “love nest” unless there is no other solution for the partners and every participant in a bad marriage, including the children too, will benefit from divorce.
What happens after divorce? Break-ups are hard for everyone and there is no easy way to deal with that. Also, there is no well known recipe to make the period after a divorce bearable or tolerable. It is hard, and that’s a fact that should be acknowledged. After that, the better days will follow.
What about happiness can divorced men and women be happy? Of course they can, and in most cases they find their little pieces of happiness that every soul on earth deserves.
Every marriage is sacred, but no divorce can be worse than a bad marriage.
